June 1-2, 2026: 2-Day Water Treatment Operations – 14 Contact Hrs./1.4 CEUs

• This class provides a basic review of all aspects of conventional surface water treatment. Operators will define conventional surface water treatment, including parameters, contaminants and their removal, hydraulic diversion coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation, filtration, chemical post-treatment and design and operation of ground water and surface water treatment systems.

June 3-4, 2026: 2-Day Water Treatment Math, Gr. 1-2 – 14 Contact Hrs./1.4 CEUs

• A scientific calculator is required for this math class.
• This class is a basic study of process math with an emphasis on the Step-by-step solution method, process formulas, conversions, pounds problems and volume formulas, dosage/demand/residual, simple solution problems, velocity, filtration, hydraulics and pump problems. Disinfection and sedimentation problems are taught and practiced in this class.

June 5, 2026: Disinfection of Public Water Supply – 7 Contact Hrs./0.7 CEUs

• Students will study the subject of disinfection from a summary of Federal Drinking Water Regulations to Chlorine Safety. Student will learn to identify the properties of chlorine, dosage, demand and residual problems, breakpoint chlorination, disinfection by-products (THM’s), alternative disinfectants together with liquid and gas chlorination practice problems.
