Some additional aspects of Advanced Treatment such as membranes\, dissolved air flotation and reverse osmosis are also included with advances in solids contact clarification including ballast sand and similar other operations.\n\nAugust 5-6\, 2026: 2-Day Water Treatment Math\, Gr. 1-2 – 14 Contact Hrs./1.4 CEUs \n\nA scientific calculator is required for this math class.\nThis class is a basic study of process math with an emphasis on the Step-by-step solution method\, process formulas\, conversions\, pounds problems and volume formulas\, dosage/demand/residual\, simple solution problems\, velocity\, filtration\,\nhydraulics and pump problems. Disinfection and sedimentation problems are taught and practiced in this class.\n\nAugust 7\, 2026: Disinfection of Public Water Supply – 7 Contact Hrs./0.7CEUs \n\nStudents will study the subject of disinfection from a summary of Federal Drinking Water Regulations to Chlorine Safety.
