Contained in the conventional filtration section will be specific emphasis on coagulation\, flocculation\, sedimentation and filtration\, including chemical pre and post treatments. Some additional aspects of Advanced Treatment such as membranes\, dissolved air flotation and reverse osmosis are also included with advances in solids contact clarification including ballast sand and similar other operations.\n\nJune 10-11\, 2026: 2-Day Water Treatment Math\, Gr. 3-4 – 14 Contact Hrs./1.4 CEUs \n\nA scientific calculator is required for this math class.\nThis class is a basic study of process math with an emphasis on the Step-by-step solution method\, process formulas\, conversions\, pounds problems and volume formulas\, dosage/demand/residual\, simple solution problems\, velocity\, filtration\, hydraulics and pump problems. Disinfection and sedimentation problems are taught and practiced in this class.\n\nJune 12\, 2026: Disinfection of Public Water Supply – 7 Contact Hrs./0.7 CEUs \n\nOperators will describe common waterborne diseases\, E.Coli and fecal coliforms are major indicators of pollution and flag the need for disinfection of our public water supplies.
